Alison Dressler

Alison is contributing to the research and preparation of the DFID funded Scoping Study that is analyzing the long-term economic impact that IP strategies can have in African countries. She is conducting research on products unique to Africa that have the potential to bring more economic security to producers in this region through employing IP techniques. She is also a member of the Licensing Team for the Ethiopian Coffee Trademarking and Licensing Initiative.
Alison has a B.A. in International Affairs with concentrations in International Development as well as Contemporary Cultures and Societies from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Alison became committed to poverty alleviation at a young age after living in an indigenous community in Costa Rica where she worked with the community to implement development projects.
